    What Makes Us Different?

    We know that there are a lot of baby hosting sites cropping up the last few years. A great deal of these companies offering huge amounts of space, bandwidth and features for almost nothing. Fifty gigabytes of space, five terabytes of bandwidth, all for five dollars a year? I'm sure they're out there.

    But more than likely, said start-ups are not going to succeed. In fact, a lot of them don't even plan to.

    So what makes Host my Heart any different?

    We're Honest

    We don't pretend to be a big coorporation, or a company of fifty. Many young hosting sites make it seem that they're huge entities, when a lot of the time they're being run by a staff of one.

    We tell you up front that we aren't a registered company. We're two adults who like dabbling in web hosting, server technology, programming and design. We have fun with what we do, and are excited to be offering hosting.

    We are honest about our hardware. We are currently hosting users on a reseller plan with Eleven2, with a hundred gigabytes of space and a terabyte (that's 1,000 gigabytes) of bandwidth. They have been around for eight years, providing great, solid service. We don't pretend to have a datacenter, or post fake images of our "office". We're proud of the little we have, and can't wait to share it with you and watch HostmyHeart.com grow.

    We're Realistic

    We aren't going to sell you huge amounts of space and bandwidth. We are never going to sell unlimited bandwidth and space, because it doesn't exist. You can't go to a store or shop around online for a hard drive that has unlimited or unmetered space, so why would we offer that?

    We offer what we can realistically give you, limited by hardware.

    When other websites offer unlimited space or bandwidth, they're doing one of three things. One, they're drastically overselling (giving you what they realistically don't have on their server). Two, they're such a large, profitable company that they can upgrade their servers whenever needed, to accomodate the growth required. Or three, they can suspend your account for reaching a bandwidth or space limit they intentionally didn't mention in the order process.

    We're Just Like You

    The people that run HostmyHeart.com are just like everybody else. We're programmers, designers, bloggers, creators. We play videogames and listen to music, study, hang out with friends. We don't like wasting time when things don't work, our sites go down, or when we can't reach anyone for support.

    We've spent a lot of time online with several websites, blogs and projects. And when things go down the gutter, it's a frustrating pain to find a good web host. After years of fighting with slow support, awful server downtime and rude staff, we know better. We know what we want, and we want to share it with you.
